The system Brian has created not only allows you to hit the track sooner, but it also laps the sleeve with its filtrated oil solution. During the lapping process, micro particles are being sheared from the piston and sent through the top of the sleeve and exhaust exit on the block. For this reason, we use a slave block for lapping, to keep this material out of the bearings. How do we keep it out of the sleeve? By forced flow. Every time the piston hits BDC it has our oil solution charge through the ports, supplying each rotation with uncontaminated oil; the remaining material is pushed out and collected through our filtration process. With this process the need for sleeve resizing or P/S replacement is greatly reduced and the tune settings stay consistent, allowing for easy tuning due to proper engine seal and compression at TDC.
